The role

We are currently seeking to recruit a Graduate (or equivalent) Marketing / Business Managemet Professional to work at our head office in Hull, East Riding of Yorkshire. 

As a member of the business development and marketing team, you will play a key role in effectively supporting the many facets in the development and delivery of a robust marketing strategy for Alan Wood & Partners. This is a busy and varied position where you will be working with several internal and external stakeholders to support the development and growth of the Alan Wood & Partners business. The role covers:

  • A broad range of both digital and offline business development and marketing activities across the business
  • Supporting new initiatives aimed at growth in opportunities for work
  • Supporting brand awareness of Alan Wood & Partners through an increased digital marketing presence

Main Duties

  • Support the Business Development and Marketing Department in its delivery of a comprehensive marketing strategy that positions Alan Wood & Partners as a leading organisation in the provision of Professional Services for the Construction Sector
  • Assist with the creation of high-quality content for various marketing materials on/off-line
  • Take control of social media activity and develop a strategy for this including LinkedIn, Facebook, X etc
  • Create, update and upload content to the Alan Wood & Partners website
  • Reviewing, reporting and carrying out research in relation to our contracted out SEO and Google Analytics performance
  • Develop strategy and execute regular internal communications, with help and guidance for internal stakeholders
  • Create and keep up to date a best practice library for tender responses
  • Keep up to date marketing image library, seek ‘permission to use’ images from external parties
  • Support the planning and organisation of events
  • Support the creation of brochures, presentations, capability statements and case studies 
  • Work closely across departments to provide marketing support

This post is a permanent, full time role at 37.5hrs per week.

Required for the position

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Marketing/Digital Marketing Degree or equivalent
  • Creative writing skills
  • Proficient knowledge of Digital Marketing including tools and analytics
  • Solid grasp of marketing principles & strategies for achieving company objectives using a variety of methods and techniques
  • Demonstrates creativity and strategic thinking
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Strong Interpersonal skills
  • Possesses boundless energy, drive and enthusiasm
  • Highly motivated, enthusiastic, hard-working and results driven with a self-starting attitude. (Requires minimal supervision)
  • Strong multi-tasking and project management skills

Preferred, but not required

  • A driving licence and use of a car for occassions when travel may be required.
