Helping to keep our historic buildings alive
Our specialist engineers are trained in many traditional forms of construction which qualifies them to carry out extensive surveys and assessments on historic buildings.
When doing this, they have to take into consideration a huge range of factors including period features such as solid walls, historic plumbing systems, thatched roofs, timber frames and whether or not the building has a dampcourse.
The style of construction, materials used, age, and other factors, give our experienced surveying teams a thorough insight into a historic building and what work might be needed to ensure they continue to be a functional building for many years to come.
As a practice, we are proud that our work has ensured many heritage buildings are still fit for purpose hundreds of years after they were completed.
