The new 30m clear-spanning Highway Access Bridge and Access Road was created to connect Langsett Road North to a prestigious future 284 home development across the River Don, at Oughtibridge Mill, Sheffield.

Alan Wood & Partners handled all of the communication with Sheffield City Council regarding the changes to the Approval in Principle and obtaining approvals because the new bridge structure and access road had to meet an adoptable standard. Remedial work and more ground testing were necessary as part of the renovation because the new buildings and access road were situated on the site of the previous Oughtibridge Paper Mill.
