Alan Wood & Partners was appointed by Eastgate Medical Group to assist with the refurbishment, remodelling and extension of an existing GP surgery.
The existing Health Centre is located on a small and constrained site, requiring a thoughtful and strategic approach to refurbishment. The project aimed to modernise the facility, incorporating two new consulting rooms, a dedicated sluice room and internal remodelling to provide an enhanced experience for both patients and staff. The works were aligned to provide services in line with current Health Technical Memoranda (HTM) standards. The Clients objectives were:
Alan Wood and Partners undertook detailed feasibility studies and pre-tender estimates which included significant stakeholder engagement in order for the service to agree a suitable approach. Planning permission was then obtained on behalf of the client, providing additional supplementary services such as flood risk assessments.
The works were designed, specified, and tendered by Alan Wood and Partners and project managed on site to deliver the works on time and on budget.
