Alan Wood & Partners (AWP) assisted Wykeland Group Ltd (in conjunction with the Environment Agency) in constructing a new section of flood wall to provide protection to the City of Hull and secure a new site for development.

Engineering and Design Factors

AWP provided Project Management, Structural & Civil Engineering design for this project. Working alongside the Wykeland project team from inception of the scheme, including early discussions with the Environment Agency and Hull City Council to full design and appointment of Contractors through to delivery on-site.

Description of the Works

This project involved the demolition of existing structures and construction of new concrete flood wall adjacent and within the existing dry dock which is a Grade II listed structure.
