Alan Wood & Partners assisted Wykeland Group Ltd (in conjunction with the Environment Agency) in constructing a new section of flood wall to provide protection to the City of Hull and secure a new site for development.

Engineering and Design Factors

Alan Wood & Partners provided Project Management, Structural & Civil Engineering design for this project. Working alongside the Wykeland project team from inception of the scheme, including early discussions with the Environment Agency & Hull City Council to full design and appointment of contractors through to delivery on-site.

Description of the Works

The project involved the demolition of existing structures and construction of new concrete flood wall adjacent and within the existing dry dock which is a Grade II listed structure.
