The office fit out works involved the reconfiguration of the office layout with new partitions, internal glazing and doors, and redecoration works throughout, as well as the installation of new furniture, fixtures and fittings. Existing electrical installations were also upgraded to include small power, data and lighting, all to suit the new office layout.
Alan Wood & Partners were engaged to manage the scheme and oversee the contract after initial feasibility discussions between the Client and design and build Contractor, Chameleon Business Interiors. The project faced supply delays and changes due to COVID and Brexit, which were closely managed. Local air conditioning Contractor AIRCO was brought in to upgrade the heating and cooling systems in the new office spaces. Strong communication was maintained throughout the project to ensure seamless coordination, especially as the work was carried out alongside the main fit-out. Building access and Health & Safety were carefully managed to avoid disrupting other tenants in the occupied building.
