This project involves a significant programme of repair and alteration to a mid-18th century farmhouse and outbuildings in the North York Moors National Park.
Structural interventions were undertaken in a sympathetic manner and retained as much of the existing structure as possible.
The fabric repair works have included hot-lime mortar repointing, replacement tooled masonry units and re-roofing with natural clay pantiles. A number of openings were formed within the building along with a number of repairs to timber trusses, masonry walls and lintels. A new glazed link was designed which also had a green roof and lantern light.
A new steel and masonry gym and leisure building have been built overlooking tennis courts and an outdoor kitchen in a repurposed barn.
