Structural design for significant alterations to existing building along with substantial extensions and civils remodelling located in North Yorkshire Moors National Park.
Multiple internal and external wall removals were undertaken on the property to allow the space within to flow. The original building had been previously altered numerous times over its life leading to a number of strengthening works being needed. A large estate type walled garden and garage complexes were also designed. A feature masonry tower with stone turret was re-built and repaired.
The works undertaken included the designs of the foundations, underpinning, modifying openings to existing building, masonry design, new roof structure (traditional rafter & purlin), assistance with temporary works design and steel connection designs. We also designed the drainage system with SUDS to work with the existing ponds and reservoir complexes.
